On our fabulous day trip, you will enjoy some incredible Highland scenery. Today we will take you on a tour of Culloden Battlefield, and hear all about the Jacobite rebellion. The Battle of Culloden was the final confrontation of the Jacobite rising of 1745. On 16 April 1746, the Jacobite forces of Charles Edward Stuart were defeated by the Hanoverian troops commanded by William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.

After visiting Cawdor Castle, the romantic Highland castle, and the 14th-century home of the Thanes of Cawdor.

Finally, we will visit Clava Cairns, one of the most evocative prehistoric sites where sits the remains of an ancient cemetery, are set on a terrace above the River Nairn.
